We Used to Roll at The Rink

I have a friend who absolutely loves roller skating. Last year, on her birthday, she invited her family and friends to The Castle, a roller skating rink in Lancaster. I didn't even know the place existed but as I got my skate legs back and glided around the rink I found myself lost in the nostalgia of my own middle school days. A squad of seventh graders whipped by me in perfect sync to the heavy beat of top 40s thumping in my chest. I felt like a kid again, surrounded by locals as young as six and as old as sixteen of all different ethnicities and social classes coming together around this one thing that they love.

I was so inspired, I got in touch with the owner of The Castle and organized a photoshoot. I set up my lights on the rink and captured some epic photos of them to let these kids feel like the badasses that they are.
