Schedule

  • Take some time to settle in, meet the other students, have a coffee or three, and get ready for a fun day.

  • Guided outdoor activities and free play to stretch, move, and soak up some fresh air.

  • Campers will be responsible for brining their own lunch, but we'll provide water and some additional snacks daily.

  • Hands-on time to explore the daily theme—whether it’s art, building, storytelling, or movement.

  • We'll end the day with a closing circle before campers head home for the evening.

Where to Find Us

Shuttle transportation is available to and from camp. Participants can be picked up near the York Street Subway Station on the F subway line. Subway access to the F, G, A, C, 2, 3 and B67.

  • This workshop is made up of four key pillars: gear, lighting, coaching, and post production. The result will be a solid, foundational understanding of what makes great a portrait, and time to put it all to practice.

  • It is necessary that you are already comfortable with shooting in manual mode, and that you understand the functions of shutter, aperture, ISO, and white balance.

  • You are in exactly the right place. This workshop builds from the ground up and is the perfect way to get started even if you’re new to using studio lights.

  • If you’re already comfortable in the studio or even running a business, you will get immense value from this workshop. I will be covering a lot of material, and there is always more to learn. This course is also an excellent portfolio builder.

  • You will need your own mirrorless or DSLR camera as well as a lens with a focal length of at least 50mm, and to be able to shoot comfortably in manual mode.

  • If you already have your own lights I recommend practicing with those. If not, I will provide a strobe, softbox, and trigger for you, and I’ll show you how to use it all.
